Do you remember that girl?
     Who longed to be included,
     But wasn't,
She grew strong and independant
She didn't need you

Do you remember that girl?
    Who you called a horse as you pulled her hair?
She learned to appreciate her hair
    and to have fun with it.

Do you remember her,
    she who was always criticised for her handwriting?
She works on computers and smartphones now

Do you remember how you called her four eyes?
    She wears pretty coloured contact lenses for fun
    and chose her glasses for how they made her look pretty..

Do you remember how her mom said to her
    "Looks aren't everything"
Now that girl says to the world "I feel pretty today"

When everyone rejected or abandoned or tortured her,
     She grew strong.
     She learned how to be happy on her own
     She found comfort in her books, in her music,
         in her wierdness,
         in her Otaku lifestyle.

That girl may still want friends and acceptance
But she knows she doesn't need them to be okay
She knows who she is, and what she wants
